A visit from Farmor

Farmor came for a visit, and boy were we happy to have her. We all love our time with Farmor!
After downloading the pictures I realize that we have very few of her, as she is the one that always remembered the camera.

Arizona Science Center - it was pretty cool and too bad Daddy and Farfar wasn't with us, they would have loved it.

Hard at work

Alex gave a dollar to see it burn, but not even fire can hurt our dollar.

This was funny as Alexander loves Star War's but when it came time for him to meet a character, he didn't want to much to do with it.

Alexander showing off his flying skills.

Alexander saw this hat and had to wear it... I love this picture.

I was showing Farmor my "Chicken foot" skills in dominos

Sunday morning hanging out...Alexander can color for hours.

Ready to go to church, he looks so cute in his Easter outfit

Zac working hard

We are on our way...I wish we would have taken a picture with Farmor... bummer.

Family photo

Swimming, it's getting warm here.

Father like son...

here is one picture of Farmor...and a great action shot of Alexander.

My handsome husband...I love him so...

Honestly, these two make the same face ALL the TIME!

This is a cute shot of all of us...

Our little one...he's our pride and joy.

Turning 39...WHAT?...yup...39!

Well I did it and there isn't much I can do about it. I'm 39, and this was probably the easiest birthday turning old that I have had since I was 35. I guess it just helps having a wonderful husband and child to share it with to make you feel like you aren't that old after all. Then you invite a few of your closest friends to have cake and ice cream, laugh hard and you have a great birthday.

Here is Emma, one of my favorite friends to share my birthday with, even if she does love my husband ALOT ;)

I put my pictures up backwards, so it's present time.

A great present from Tammy, although gifts were not necessary...

I'm not really crying, but they told me to react for the pictures...but it was a very nice card with treasured words.

I already blew out my candles...

Do you see this cake? Amber, my generous Sister made it for me. I was craving my wedding cake, as I often do, and she re-did it with white cake, lemon curd, and white frosting. It was sooooooo GOOD. Thank you Amber, that was a big sacrifice of time!

Just a few of my favorite people

Sharron showed up and the party started.

Amber and Alexander helping put the candles on the cake.

Alexander loves helping, this is a really cute picture of these two.

Look how beautiful this cake is...it was soooo yummy too!

My wonderful sister, who always comes through for me when I need her.

Alexander loves having family and friends over, especially if its Uncle Aaron. He loves Amber and Aaron...but especially Aaron

My wonderful present from Amber...pucker up

I do enjoy gifts. :)

Alexander can't wait until his Birthday!

On Friday Alexander's preschool had a Mother's Day Party. I was rather excited as this was my first one, and I was racing to get there on time. As soon as I arrived, I had a realization that Relief society sisters were not in charge and therefore the "party" was less than impressive. However the best part was being with Alexander and getting my Mother's Day gift...anything is worth that, and I love being with him!

Alexander holding his plate showing the cheeze'it crackers and cookies

This is the little boy that was sitting next to him, they had a pretty funny conversation...I just wish I could have taped it.

Alexander loves making faces, he has such a personality.

Mommy's plate, and they were giving the parents tea and kids milk. I was the only parent that said, "I'll take some milk". :)

Alexander made me this cute heart, with a cute note on the back that read,
"Mommy, I love you for all that you do.
I'll kiss you and hug you 'cause you love me, too.
You feed me and need me to teach you to play, so smile 'cause I love you on this Mother's Day.

BYU Hawaii Friends...

I have been blessed with some amazing friends and a few of them are my BYU Hawaii friends, some of the best years of my life have been with these gals.

Mary, me, Marily, and Stephanie
This past weekend Mary came back to visit Marilyn and I and we had some good laughs

We went and got our nails done...and for my Birthday present Marilyn paid for my toes to get done.

and Mary paid for me to get my nails done....

We laughed and just enjoyed being back together again.

I am one lucky girl to have some great friends that have made such a difference in my life, and that's for ALL my best friends...
if you are wondering if you are one of them...you are! :)

A family hike on Orme Duges Road

We needed a family day and why not break in Ty (Tyrone) for the first time.

This is a bird egg next to a spider whole (see the spider web in the whole)...yeah, starting the hike out with this site was not my favorite moment.

It was a beautiful day with lots of wind.

I love the outdoors and I enjoy camping. Heck, I grew up camping...but when it comes to Arizona outdoors I am way out of my area. Hiking today made me feel very uncomfortable. I didn't want to look up and enjoy the beauty of the earth. Instead I was on high alert looking for snakes, big spiders, cactus, red ants, and anything else that would get us. I realize that I am not good at the outdoors when it comes to Arizona. So, with that I will take my camping with nice bathrooms and fighting off mosquito's. On the other hand I have a husband that doesn't seem to be bothered by anything, I guess we are a nice mix. :) As for Alexander he is a good mix between the two of us.

My husband taking care of business...they always have to do it off a rock...why is that?

Alexander and Daddy hiked to the top while I decided to head back to Ty where I would be safe and get lunch ready.

It was windy at the top but Alexander loved it.

Ty was one really really dirty boy and we loved being in a new car.

We didn't get any pictures of this but Zac took us to his High School and we walked around and he showed us his old stomping grounds at Orme High.

Zac driving us home...doesn't he look good! We love our new car.
