I Stand All Amazed...

I stand all amazed, if I could just borrow that title of a very beautiful song. I wish I could express myself better and explain in more detail all that I have seen this last year. I could not be more grateful for a wonderful ward who has played such a major role in helping us feel apart of the ward family. Amazing family and friends that have continued to support us in so many ways. More importantly a Heavenly Father that has blessed me with such a great husband and wonderful child. I had to wait a long...long...long time for "my loves" to come along but he was well worth it!

A favorite little moment with Alexander this week while driving to go pick up Daddy from work. We were driving pass a reception hall called, The Castle, you can all guess that it looks like one too.

Alexander: Whoa Mom! Look at that castle.
Me: Yeah, cool huh.
Alexander: I wish I lived in that Castle because then I would be a Prince and you would be a Princess and then I would marry you like Daddy.
Me: Oh, that is so nice (tearing up) :)

Going to the Temple with my husband for the 1st time

Tonight Zac and I will be attending the Temple with Greg and Tammy Adams, and Amber and Aaron Waldeck (sister) for the first time together. I am very excited and I know Zac is anxious to experience this as well. We will be doing baptisms for those that have passed on and we look forward to one day actually doing Temple work for his ancestors, as much genealogy works needs to be done. It will be a year before we can be sealed in the Temple, but to have this opportunity to do something with him in the Temple and to feel the spirit will be such a blessing to us and to our union as husband and wife.

Zac will also be receiving his patriarchal blessing on Sunday, and we are also looking forward to that as well.

So many blessings!

HAIR...

HAIR...another blog about hair. So I have been married now for 4 months and I never realized that my own husband would have some questions about my hair. So the other day he asked me what I would look like if I just combed my hair. I warned him but I don't think he really believed me, which always surprised me that people don't understand. Nevertheless, here we are combing out my hair...does it lay flat after you comb it out? No, it turns into frizz and ONLY FRIZZ.
Let's put it this way after the big comb out, he said "uh..yeah...you look good". Apparently Zac wants a wife that looks like Chaka Khan in the 70's

Happy New Year's...here's to 2010

Here's to 2010..We wish you the best for the year!

(Alexander is not pictured due to his bedtime being earlier than midnight) :)

My little one is so sweet...

I'm sick...and Alexander is slowly getting there. Nothing to bad just the sickness that makes your voice change. When I woke up in the morning I rolled over and asked Zac what time it was, his response, "what did you do with my wife?" He tells me I sound like a man, and honestly I think my voice drops lower every day. :)
So I am laying in bed trying to just sleep and get rid of this yucky sickness and I have a movie on for Alexander as he is sitting next to me. He says to me
Alex: Mommy, are we going to get out of bed?
Me: Honey, Mommy is sick and just wants to sleep.
Alex: No, don't you want to go to some stores or something.
Me: No, loves...I just don't feel well and I just need to rest.
Alex: Here I will give you a blessing. The next thing I know Alex has his hands on my head and is saying the sweetest prayer.
Me: Thanks Alexander that was very nice of you, and I am proud of you.
Alex: Yes, Mommy a blessing is when you do this (shows me how to put your hands on your head) and a prayer is like this (folds his arms and begins to pray).
Me: Very good Alexander, I love you.

I was so touched I started to cry as I just pray that he will continue to learn these teachings and remember them in his later years. I am always amazed at what he learns and remembers, and it just makes me so happy inside to see him understand so much.
And to tell you the truth, I think I even felt better. :)
