General Conference weekend and I was pretty excited about it for a few reasons...
A. It's always a great "pick me up to life" and "keep going, you can do it"
B. You never know what big announcement will be given, 5 new Temples, and ROME??? Wow!
C. It gives peace to a ever changing world and life. Let's be honest, we are having some crazy times with all that has taken place with our economy, politics, and all the stuff on the news.
D. It's one weekend where I don't feel bad about watching TV for 8 hours. Especially this year as I have caught this nasty chest cold.
Saturday Session did not disappoint, and I think I cried my way through most of the talks.
I was lucky enough to have my little Alexander this Saturday while Daddy had to finish up some stuff at work. When the first session started the the Mormon Tabernacle Choir started singing Alexander turned to me and said, "JJ that's your church". Which is so funny as he has only gone to church with me once and I am not sure what part of the choir and my ward building made a three year old put that connection together. Then for the next hour or so Alexander and I snuggled up on the couch and he hardly moved. He was such a good little boy and so very cute. At one point I was crying and Alexander looked at me with this confused face and without missing a beat he said, "JJ, it's okay I'm not moving to Montana yet. In a little bit". (Alexander and his Daddy are planning on moving to Montana in a "little while" to be closer to his parents.) I had to laugh and give him lots of kisses for that one.
During the second session, he decided to watch 101 Dalmations instead of Conference, but when the little primary children were singing I called him upstairs so he could see all these little kids sing in this choir. As he listened to a few lines of the song he started humming the tune to the song, and then proceeded to sing his own words to the tune of the song. Of course his words went something like this, "my dad is Iron man, he is strong...". Again I just looked at him and giggled, tickled, and give him lots of kisses.
Saturday Conference session was amazing and I am looking forward to watching Sunday Session in an hour with Sharron, The Adams, Laura, Amber and Aaron. How grateful we are to have a Prophet and Apostles on the earth today. How blessed we are to know that our Heavenly Father loves us and gave his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to redeem us from our sins that we may return to him again, our loving Father in Heaven. How grateful I am that the gospel teaches us to love one another and bear up one anothers burdens. As I know I could not do this alone, without the amazing family and friends that I have in my life.

Procrastinator
When it comes to going to bed sometimes I can be such the prcrastinator...I don't know why...especially when I have the goal of getting up and going to the gym at 5:30 am. Don't worry I will still do it, I will guilt myself into and then be tired the rest of the day.
Can someone please tell me where the month of September went? Honestly, this month has gone by so quickly.
Work has been crazy busy so I guess I can blame it on that.
Last week I went to visit my ABQ group and within four days I went from El Paso to ABQ to Amarillo and then back to ABQ. Let's just say it's a good thing I enjoy my District Manager for my ABQ region, Hank and David, National Acct. Rep. Those two kept me entertained and we did get a lot done, maybe to much as we did lots of Corrective Counselings, Performance reviews, and one big investigation. So I guess all those mornings getting up at 5 am and not going to sleep until after 11pm paid off. Let's just say I earned my salary, what am I talking about...I always earn my salary. In fact, I think I give my company a discount... :)
I called my sister Ashlee today on my way home from work. As we were talking she had a 2 year old and a 7 month baby in the back ground. Let's just say the sound level in the background made me say, "Ok, well maybe I should call you later". Ashlee said, "no, no...they are just talking" Apparently little TyTy found his voice and is learning to use it. As we continued to talk the background noise grew and finally Ashlee said, "Do you want two kids?" I thought to myself, "yeah...I would take two crying babies over the day I had". Ok, Ok...for all those Mothers our there...I know after a few days of this it would get old. However, the truth is I would trade places with you in a second. Either you deal with babies that are your own or you deal with babies at work. Let's face it the babies at work are not as cute and they should know better! :)
Okay...I am done procrastinating.

A little catch up...
It's been a while since I have just written something so I decided to do it now. However, I don't have much to say other than a bunch of small things. My greatest achievement recently has been losing weight. I bought my first pair of GAP - Long and Lean jeans. Yahoo! Baby steps...I would post a picture but the truth is I still don't love how I look in photos, so that will have to wait.
I am still loving my home, and I still wake up in the morning and can't believe that I bought it, or that I actually have it filled. I remember when I bought it I thought it will take me two years before I will have anything in it. Now, I look around and think "where am I going to put that?". The Lord blessed me and I am grateful.
I don't know if I have ever mentioned that I have a roommate, her name is Tina. I don't know if she will kill me for doing this but I am going to tell you a little about why I like her so much. One, she likes to try different food and when we talk about restaurants or places to eat she gets like a sparkle in her eye just talking about it. Now, you would never know that she lives to eat because she is so skinny but she does and I appreciate that about anyone. Tina is beautiful. She has this amazing hair that is cut perfectly for her, you add her darling smile and sensational personality and you have the perfect girl. I have been meaning to clean my refrigerator for a while now, but I keep letting things get in my way. Today I came home and there was Tina cleaning it. I was so appreciative and felt bad at the same time because I didn't do it sooner. Then she cleaned the kitchen floor and again I thought how blessed I was to have such a helpful roommate. When I decided to get a roommate I knew I had to choose the right person. When her name was mentioned to me I felt like a light was just turned on. She is so easy going and just seems to go with the flow. I am grateful that I have her as my roommate.
Tina, if you are reading this...I hope that 1) you are not mad that I am writing this :) 2) that you know how much I appreciate you 3) you have been a prayer that was answered. 4) Thank you, I am glad I call you friend.
Some will want an update on my cute little neighbor next door. Alexander is doing well, he is going through "3 year old" changes and I am learning that his mind is really thinking on it's own. My favorite line he said to me the other day was, "JJ, you're pretty". I don't care if it did come from a three year old it's been a while since a boy has said that to me. :) He's still one of my favorite things and I love him.
I also want to send a note out to all my friends with kids. I love your children almost as much as you do. I love babysitting when you ask and I love visiting you and becoming instant friends with your children. They make me smile and laugh and it reminds me that we can still be happy by simple things. A couple of weeks ago one of my best friends, Cammie, called to tell me that she is pregnant with her third. She informed me that if they were having a girl they were going to name her middle name "Jane" after me. A few days ago she called to give me the happy news that little,___?__ Jane Seals will be the new addition to their family. How cute is that! Thanks Cammie and Erick.

The big day finally came and Isabella Karen was blessed in church by brother, Richard. It was a beautiful blessing for a beautiful baby girl. Family and friends gathered after for a wonderful luncheon. Julie the dress was beautiful and Mom the baby blanket was just as amazing as all the others.

Dad's Surgery Weekend

My Father recently had surgery and had some complications. He had some internal bleeding with caused him to have a mild stroke. He lost his eyesight in his left eye, but within a couple of days half of it came back. As soon I found out that he did in fact have a mild Stroke I along with many of my siblings flew home to be with each other and help where we could. As you can see when the family comes home it’s a full house. I’m not sure Dad was able to get a lot of sleep and rest with so many of us in the house, but I think it did lift his spirits by having so many of us around. He is still working on full recovery and on his good days he would come out and sit with us in the Living room for just a little bit. I am grateful that I went home and was able to be with Dad and help where I could. Currently Dad is still having good days and bad days but we hope that he will continue to have better days than bad. I appreciate all the prayers and thoughts that so many of you have shared with my family. Thank you!

A great Sunday with Toomer Cousins
I don't know how to explain it but there is just "something" about having an Uncle and Aunt in the same State as me that get's me all happy inside. Maybe it was all the good times that Aunt Ann, Uncle Heber, and cousin Cyndi gave me while I had my summer with them. Maybe it's the great memories and meals that Aunt Dixie and Uncle Robert gave me while I went to school in Utah. Either way I am happy to say that those of us in Arizona now have Uncle Bob and Aunt Bobbie in Prescott and I couldn't be more happy.
On Sunday Richard, Julie, little Isabella, Amber, Aaron, and myself went up to Flagstaff for Cousin Tracy and husband Trevor baby blessing of new family member Addie. Right after we gathered for a great luncheon provided by Uncle Bob and Aunt Bobbie. It was so fun to have time with Cousin Julie (who came up from Washington), Cousin Sam and Jenn with their two kids (who came from Las Vegas), and Trevor's family. We had a great time and it was wonderful to have some time with the cousins. I will have to post the pictures as soon as I can download them, then you can see how cute Addie is.
