I posted about Valentine's day treasure hunt, but I never had a picture of my Valentine's day gift that the neighbor boys gave me. So, here is my new bike...this will have to be a before and then I will have to post a "after" picture once we are done fixing it up. Alexander got a bike from his Grandparents for Christmas. Zac decided to buy a bike from our neighbor, so they could go on bike rides. It was cute because Zac decided it was time that I got my own bike so we could all go on bike rides together. Zac found this beauty at a garage sale around the corner on Valentine's day. I think he picked it out before hand but wanted to see if I liked it and told me to come see this garage sale around the corner. When we got there he said, "so their is a bike, what do you think?" I liked it as soon as I saw it. I love the "old" look about it, and it kind of reminds me of a blue bike my Dad use to ride when I was little. We are now in the process of fixing it up and getting new tires for it. Zac only paid $8 dollars for it so we had a little money to put into it. I want to paint it ballerina pink or black with pink stripes. Zac isn't crazy about ballerina pink, but then again...it's my Valentine's day gift. I guess that is why I kind of want to paint it pink, I want to always remember that this was my Valentine's day gift...and pink fits it.

This is neighbor Zac...
and this is the
BIKE!

He doesn't like the idea of painting it, but I don't like the yellow "short bus" look. I want to get a basket for the front and a new seat. oooh, and maybe a bell too! He might regret this one once I am finished :)
I am grateful for fun neighbors that help me enjoy life with bike rides.

SO, so,so,cute! That is so fun and I love projects!!! I am so glad that they are your neighbors!
You know, you can get those little streamer things that come out of the end of the handlebars, too. I can't wait to see the "after" photos!
That is one cool ride! I love it. I agree with the pink. You're gonna have so much fun!
Sweet ride JJ! Glad Zach found it for you!
This is AWESOME. You've got to use it for all rides. YOu're so stinkin' lucky. I love it!
I love it! Even the short bus color. My Dad had a 1967 Ford truck painted that color. I was always so embarrased to have that thing parked in our driveway, but I like it for a retro bike.
