South Honeyman Group - Memorial Day Weekend

Another great Memorial Day Weekend trip to our very own "Honeyman - South". A HUGE thank you to Cousins Craig and Susan Brown. We love them so much and they give so freely. Here are a few of our favorite pictures and I will put up some more pictures and movie clips later.

Alexander was so excited to find this Darth Vador hat that made your voice sound like him too.

He also loved the race track and the wii...but that is not shown

My Favorite Boys

I know, you will probably just think I am in love...and well...I am...but look at these two cute boys. Who wouldn't be in love with these two cute faces.

Let me just brag about what my cute man does for me. Last night he did my clean dishes, listened to me cry as I felt frustrated over little things of life, made dinner, said the prayer on dinner, did the dirty dishes, picked out a DVD for us to watch, kissed me in the wind storm (it's very romantic), and just made me feel secure and happy.
I feel blessed!

Birthday Cake Gathering

I love cake...I love birthdays, weddings, and any excuse to eat cake. So when I decided I needed to have a Birthday gathering it only seemed reasonable to have a "Birthday Cake Gathering". Let me just say that my Mother and I worked on two of the cakes, and I don't want to brag but I was "in love"....
Red Velvet Cake with White Chocolate Cream Cheese frosting (Mother found this recipe for the frosting. It was good but we decided to add a few of our own little things)
and
White cake with lemon curd filling and butter cream frosting (This one was my personal favorite) my friend Karin Gonda has perfected this "lemon curd" recipe and it's to die for!!!
and
My friend Elizabeth was very kind and generous to make a peanut butter chocolate cake. (Thank you Elizabeth!)
It was a great way to celebrate my Birthday and I was very happy.

Family Birthday Dinner

I love when parents come to town and take you out for your Birthday. :)

Good Pictures

Here are two pictures I had to show off. The first is a picture of me wearing my beautiful necklace from Zac's Mother, Kerstin. She gave me this beautiful piece of jewelry. You can't see it very well but it's 1200 year old china made into a necklace. It really really beautiful and I am so appreciative, and it has even more meaning as Zac's Grandmother in Sweden use to own her own antique store that specialized in century old china.

side note: Kerstin you will have to correct me if I said anything wrong, or you can give more details. :)

This second photo is of Alexander and his artistic ability. Recently he has been in love with watching Dr. Seuss "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", and here is his picture of the dog in that movie. Zac and I were pretty impressed for a 3 year old (almost 4 in June).

It's my Birthday

Okay, so it's another Birthday...I refuse to be one of those people that won't tell people their age. I refuse to be one of those people that can't handle another Birthday.

But the truth is...I can't believe I am 38! Honestly, I don't feel 38...I just feel like I am in my 30's. I'm in the best shape of my life, I still have a ways to go, but I still feel better than I did in my 20's. So why the "shock" of "This can't be true". Who knows...maybe it's just the inner self telling me once again I am looking for a job and what have I done with my life?

Here is another thing that adds to my age. I am in love with Zac who is 30, and NO I am not a cougar (apparently a Cougar is someone much older than 7 years). I don't think I look older than him, but maybe I do? Now, don't take this as a request to tell me otherwise. It's just a fact that is true. He is not bothered by our age difference and the truth is many of my friends are around this same age, so why wouldn't I fall for a guy younger than me? I have also heard that men die 7 years before their spouse, which should put our death at the same time. So, I'm feeling pretty good about that. That is until I watched Benjamin Button and after a few tears at the end I realized that I could lose my mind before he does. That would be a bummer, for him of course, as I have lost my mind and I won't be taking care of me...he will.

Actually talking through this just made me feel better. So, with that I will say
Happy Birthday to me...bring on 38...as I feel fabulous! :)

Funny little boy about boots!

Okay, I don't know what it is but lately Alexander has been fasinated with my boots. I finally had to hide by "nice" boots just so he wouldn't play with them anymore. However, he found these boots in my closet and I decided to stop fighting and let him play with some.
The other morning I finished doing the dishes and walked into the living room to see this view, Alexander watching Sesame Street in my boots.
Last night we came home from the park where he had gone swimming. I told him to take off his swim suit and put his underwear and shorts back on. He insisted that he did not want to wear his short, so I finally talked him into putting his underwear on. I then went up stairs and was taking care of some things when I heard him come into my room. I turned around to see little Alexander with nothing on except the boots, and he was pulling this toy car. I said, "Alexander, where are your underwear?" He said, "I don't want to wear ANYTHING". With that I said, "okay well, let's see how your Father likes this look". I am sad to say that by the time Zac came home Alexander had taken off the boots but he was still naked. Zac gave me this look with a question mark on his face as he walked in the door. I just looked at him and said, "well, ask your son, but it's too bad you weren't here just a little bit earlier".
Needless to say I am looking for some boots...in Alexander's size. :) I think his Father would prefer Cowboy boots. :)
He is so funny and cute.
